The roots of wine estate Reis & Luff can be found in two different regions, which are famous as the best German wine growing regions. The wedding of Wolfang Reis and Sigrun Luff connects the Mosel valley with Rheinhessen. Coincidence, the two wine enthusiastic sprouts of the Reis and Luff families got to know each other at the renowned viniculture school in Bad Kreuznach (Germany).

Soon after their wedding, the couple moved to Aspisheim in Rheinhessen and founded their wine estate together, today known as “Reis & Luff”.

The beautiful village Aspisheim, with its fine locations and mild climate is a perfect place to grown vines. The hilly area around the village is enjoys a lot of sun through the year and is well protected against winds.

Aspisheim valley lasts from “Rheinhessen hills” to the south-east boarders of the Binger Rhine country. With good weather conditions you can enjoy the wide view to the other regions Bad Kreuznach, Rheingau and Hunsrück.

To cut a long story short: Aspisheim is a great place to live and even a greater place to grow vines.
